40v40 (8 ships, with 5 players on each ship) is a new sea battle that you can enter every week
This is VERY IMPORTANT for your divine weapons (mbo-english.proboards.com/thread/232/divine-weapons)
as 40v40 sea battles gives a lot of materials for it.
It opens at the following times (CN time):
Tues, Thurs, Sat: 13:00 ~ 14:00 (1pm ~ 2pm), 19:00 ~ 20:00 (7pm ~ 8pm)
You can receive rewards up to 3 times per week.
To start off, open up the PVP tab with Ctrl + D (Or you can open using the PVP button on the bottom of your screen)
Navigate to the third tab that says 航海
Once you queue and successfully match up, you will be dragged to a waiting island. After 1 min, everyone boards their ship.
You can either queue alone or with a group.
During this time, you can talk to the NPC:
The first option tells you the rules in detail, the 2nd option allows you to reset stamina.
If you are sailing the ship, you need to reset it. If not it's okay to leave it.
Note that the best ship out of everyone in the team will be chosen to use for the fight.
This means that even if your sailing level is low or don't possess a boat, you should always queue up.
Your boat will likely only be used if it has:
8 X T3 cannons
T2+ ship parts
or if you made a group beforehand, and have the best ship out of the team

The general playstyle of this PVP is simply split into 2 parts:
1. Getting resources
There are 3 important types of resources floating around:
Ammo (left) Supply (right)
Treasure box
Each provides different kinds of things:
Ammo - Most important. Ships start out with 0 ammo and have to take ammo in order to fight
Supply - Usually dropped when an enemy ship is sunk, this gives food / ammo resources
Treasure box - Provides a small boost by giving ship repair tools, speed boosters etc
The captain should sail around and take the resources.
Note that it doesn't matter whoever takes the resources, you will get items
which you would have to consume in your inventory.
2. 进圈 (Enter the circle)
Remember the circle on the map earlier? Once you gathered enough resources,
enter the circle. Find teammates if possible or you will die very quickly if ganged up on.
At this stage you have 2 options:
Stay in the circle to earn points
Go hunt enemy ships with your friends
Next, Scoring
Scoring works this way:
10 pts / 10 sec in the circle
80 pts for killing an enemy ship
The first one to 800 pts win. Pretty straightforward.
If your boat sinks, you will return to the island and you will drop a supply box at the location you sunk.
You can leave the battlefield early, however you won't be able to queue for sea battles again within 8 min!
Once the battle ends you will receive rewards:
You will receive 缘材.初 and some boxes (Blue boxes, purple boxes if you destroyed at least one ship)
You will receive better rewards the more ships you sink, and if your ship still remains intact after the battle.
Usually the rewards are like this.
Lose - 2 blue boxes
Win - 4 blue boxes
Win; Ship isn't destroyed - 3 blue boxes, 2 purple boxes (Will change after patch 1/31/18)
You will also get additional boxes for destroying more ships. (Some members have gotten 3 blue + 3/4 purple for destroying enemy ships)
Tips:
1. Usually players will allow the better boats to get ammo, as they will be the ones moving around and sinking ships.
If you are a weak boat, you can either stay out of the fight for your boxes, or try to get some points by entering circle.
Try not to steal boxes away from your team (especially the stronger boats)
In case your ammo / supplies get stolen, try to find others or wait for the supplies to respawn.
2. You can ram into running boats to slow them down and kill them easier.
Take note that while you can do a lot of damage to them, they can do the same to you!
3. If you have a fast boat, you can try entering the circle and looping around, avoiding ships.
Take note that if you get hit, you might get a buff that reduces your speed for 1 min. (You can also rely on items to boost your boats's speed)
4. Sometimes there will be enemy boats waiting around the circle, preventing friendly boats from entering the circle.
Proceed carefully & with a friendly boat if possible.
5. Weaker boats can hide behind stronger boats to avoid damage.
6. Entering the circle and earning points might be good, but if you have no ammo / have a weak ship,
the best course of action would be to stay out of the fight totally, survive and get your boxes.
7. You are very vulnerable without ammo. You can shoot at ships to scare them off (usually with a friend)
However, your shots will deal no damage.
