真武 is one of the slower classes and in general relies on the prediction of the other player's moves to counter.
It is a midranged DPS class that uses two jian (straight swords) to attack.
ZhenWu is a class whose skills use/generate Yin and Yang. Most skills use Yin (a mana-type resource, regenerates over time) to generate Yang (rage-type resource), which can then be used to buff specific skills.
ZhenWu has a shadow and uses it to do some of the dirty work in his place, allowing consistent DPS output.
执象天下 - Passive
Every time "驱影 - Shadow Attack" is performed, it consumes Ying gauge and will add Yang to the bar.
Every stack of Yang added adds 5% of External Defense to Zhenwu.
归玄- Sword Field (Defense Reduction)
AOE for 3 seconds, long cast time. Good at reducing enemy's defensive bar (white bar) and for crowd control.
CD 8 seconds
道法天地 - 3 Hit Normal Attack
Basic 3 Hit attack on all targets within range.
Adds 10 pt to the Yin Bar for each hit that connects (30 pts total).
Pair this with 驱影 - Shadow Attack to add 50% more damage after any of the hits, also knocks targets into the air.
CD 0 seconds
微明生灭 - 5 Hit DPS
Close range attack, 1 target damage.
Smash your keys 5 times. Does large amount of damage to a single target if block is broken.
Using 驱影 - Shadow Attack at any point will have your shadow finish the sequence for you (no more smashing). Last hit will knock target into the air.
CD 20 seconds
道生一剑- Dash & Finisher
1 target damage, used for closing distances.
Suppresses target if his defense bar is broken.
-Use on named mobs in PvE with low HP to activate the finisher move and replenish health
-No cooldown after using finisher, can also roll out of the last few seconds of the animation
Adds 10 pts to the Ying Bar.
+50% damage if paired with 驱影 - Shadow Attack.
CD 10 seconds
和光同尘 - Ranged Slash
Send a slash towards a selected target.
Adds 10 pt to the Yin Bar when it successfully hits the target.
Use 驱影 - Shadow Attack to send your shadow out for AOE damage.
Becomes a 10 hit slash when "冲盈 - Buff" is active.
CD 10 seconds
驱影 - Shadow Attack
Use this skill after any of the above four Shadow skills will summon a shadow to attack the enemy and applies different effects. Generates 1 Yang stack.
-道生一剑- Dash and 道法天地 - Normal Attack: 50% damage buff and knocks up the target
-和光同尘 - Ranged Slash: sends shadow out for AOE damage (damage reduced if applied to one target)
-微明生灭 - 5 Hit: finish up the rest of the animation without having to smash the keys 5 times (you can move out of range, your shadow will stick to the target)
Consumes Yin to cast; core of ZW combos is to maintain enough Yin to consistently use 驱影 - Shadow Attack.
Yin cost depends on the skill.
CD 2 seconds
无迹 - Air Swing
Casts an air attack after successfully knocking the target up in the air.
Skills that knock target into the air: 驱影 - Shadow Attack after using 道生一剑- Dash, 微明生灭 - 5 Hit, or 道法天地 - Normal Attack
After initial use, if you manage to knock your target up again in the air after a 3 second CD, you can cast 无迹 - Air Swing again and your shadow (consumes Yin) will perform another air attack.
-You can then continue to have your shadow use 无迹 - Air Swing every 5 seconds after the first cast.
-After initial use, you can also use the "second half" of 无迹 to interrupt enemy's attack anytime, even under "control" or "suppression".
Using the second half prevents you from using 无迹 continuously as described above. You can only use 无迹 again after the original 15 second CD.
CD 15 seconds
离渊 - Bubble - (CC Escape Skill)
Escape from Crowd Control - stuns the targets in the bubble for few seconds, then knocks up the targets.
Can negate ranged attacks.
驱影 - Shadow Attack will be unavailable for the duration of the bubble, but you are free to move and attack targets trapped inside.
CD 28 seconds
上善 - Taichi (Counter Skill)
Must be initiated BEFORE your target's attack to counter.
Immune to melee and range attacks.
If you successfully intercept an attack, use the skill again allows Zhenwu to dash a short distance toward the direction you are facing when you start your 上善 motion. The dash will suppress your target.
If you initiate 上善 in close range to your target and they attack you, you will counter and "control" the target (spins your target around, and push them out in front of you). You can press 上善 again to dash toward and suppress your target.
Does 2x counter damage to enemy with super armor (dungeon boss), and you will fly backwards after completing the animation.
CD 15 seconds
冲盈 - Yang Buff
Can only be activated if the Yang bar is full. Fill up the Yang bar by using 驱影 - Shadow Attack.
Applies to all of the Shadow Skills.
-道法天地 - Normal Attack: 3x Damage
-微明生灭 - 5 Hit: adds 100% more damage, but prevents using 驱影 - Shadow Attack to finish up attack
-道生一剑- Dash: suppresses target
-和光同尘 - Ranged Slash: becomes a single target 10 hit slash, adds 200% more damage, to knocks up target with last slash, and increases damage to block bar
CD 20 seconds
动愈守中 - Array
Array charges up over 10 seconds. At initial use, it will immediate replenish a certain amount on the block bar.
Continues to fill up the block bar whenever the Zhenwu is inside in the array.
When the array is finished charging up (10sec) and if Zhenwu is inside the array, their Ying and Yang bar will be filled instantly.
Can be casted when knocked up into the air or being crowd controlled.
CD 50 seconds
Uses 50% of your rage bar to deal a powerful attack.
PVE or PK attack only.[/font]
Can not use any other skills during that time.
CD 5 seconds

(need to grab initial aggro, or tanking)
Self-Array (wait like 8 sec) -> Ranged Slash -> Shadow Attack -> Sword Field -> (beginning of repeat) Buff -> 2x normal attack -> Dash -> Shadow Attack -> 2x normal -> Air Swing -> 5 hit (with Shadow)-> Sword Field -> 2x Normal -> Ranged Slash -> Shadow Attack -> (beginning of repeat)
The initial moves will deal the most damage in short burst and grab you initial aggro.
*** use Taichi in the mix for damage reduction and it also reflect 2x damage to boss with super body
*** you will dodge and roll, so you probably won't get smooth rotation, the above is ideal
*** I always try to use buff -> 2x normal -> dash to maximize buff damage. I never use buff on anything else, unless like at the end, and boss need to die fast, then i will buff then 5 hits.
*** Remember Dash - > Shadow Attack allow you 3 sec to use Air Swing, so u can mix 2x attack or Sword Field before using Air Swing to max damage, and replenish Yin
Normal PVE DPS rotation for me
Dash -> Shadow Attack -> Sword Field -> Air Swing -> 2x Normal -> Ranged Slash -> Shadow Attack -> 2x Normal -> 5 hit(with shadow) -> Buff -> Sword Field -> Self-Array -> 2x normal -> Dash -> Shadow Attack -> 2x normal -> Air Swing -> Range Slash -> Shadow -> Buff -> 3x normal(if buff up, 2x if not) -> 5 hit (with shadow) -> sword field -> 2x normal -> repeat
*** This will allow tank to grab initial hate
*** use sword field whenever available, usually where 2x normal take place, you can add a sword field in if available
*** use normal attack to keep your yin up
I never use buff with anything else than the 2x normal, then dash, or even just 3x normal. Although buff 5 hit is the most damage, but animation takes too long, and can be interrupted by boss's move.
Explosive DPS rotation
this is when u need max DPS in the shortest amount of time, but it will exhaust all your resource lol
Dash -> Shadow Attack -> Sword Field -> Range Slash -> Shadow Attack -> Air Swing -> 2x normal -> 5 hit (with shadow) -> buff -> 3x normal -> Air Swing(second half) - Ultimate
