Gear Guide Advanced (AKA enhancing PvP armor)

Gear enhancing is mostly useful towards endgame, when the stat gains become smaller and costlier.
Inheriting Stats (3rd Tab)
Inheritance only applies to PvP gears. PvE gears do not use the inheritance system.
What is inheritance in this game?
What can you inherit?
How to inherit your gear:
Before jumping into inheriting, make sure to UNEQUIP your gear so it shows up in your inventory, then open the enhancement interface:
Then:
After that your old gear will be destroyed. Don't forget to equip your new gear from your inventory.
Stats Liners
The game also provides some customization in stats for PvP gear in bonus stats liners. These come in single OR double liners. For double liners, the bottom line must be inherited with the top, but afterwards you can reroll the top line without changing the bottom one (aka "washing", see the Upgrading Liners section for more info).
In other words, when inheriting double stat liners, the bottom line matters more than the top!
Note that the gear inheritance level must be at least the same level as the stat liner, or it will not be activated (stat line will be red instead). See the following section on how to upgrade this level.
Gear with liners can be obtained from gear boxes/drops or from crafting.
Inheritance Level Enhancement (2nd Tab)
This is much costlier to upgrade than first tab. Overall it takes more mats, and more bound gold per mat to upgrade than first tab.
It also barely gives any “stats” to your gear like first tab does.
Rather, the purpose of second tab for most players is to raise their insert chinese name) / the gear’s inheritance level. As seen here, the gear inheritance level must be at least the same level as the stat liner, or it will not be activated (stat line is red).
If it is red, go into second tab and increase the inheritance level until the liner requirement is green!
Upgrade Stat Liners (4th Tab)
This tab is only applicable to double liners. Not single.
Tab 4.1 = upgrading top liners using washing medals
This tab will consume wash tokens to reroll your top liner. Each roll has a chance of increasing the liner's tier, with an increase guaranteed on the 16th roll. Washing will increase the inheritance level needed to activate the liner.
Tab 4.2 = upgrading bottom liners using fodder gear
This tab will increase the bottom liner's tier. This will also increase the inheritance level needed to activate the second liner.
Fodder gear is basically any gear that you don't want. Must be PvP gear of the same armor type (i.e. main weapon must be fed main weapon).
Tab 4.3 = washing bottom liners (only applicable to purple grade second liners)
Allows you to inherit bottom liners (standard inheriting will only inherit the top line).
Shiny Enhance (5th Tab)
Shiny gear is an additional enhancement that can be applied to weapons. Depending on the level and how many you have, they will augment the damage of your attacks in addition to stat increases.
First you must acquire enough fragments to buy the shiny gear from the store. Fragments drop from specific dungeons, though they can also be bought with a variety of other points (help points, PvE points, sailing coin). The shiny gear itself has pretty useless stats, but we only care about the shiny effect that we will inherit.
So, once you get your shinies, you can inherit the shiny effect onto your gear (check 2nd tab section).
After you have inherited the shiny effect, you can start leveling up the shiny stat. Depending on what level it is at, you will need different mats:
Small red crystals can be obtained by selling extra shiny gear fragments to NPCs
To upgrade from level 4-5, you need a shiny lantern - these come as a rare drop from 90, or from PUBG mode/sailing coin every week.
Level 5+ you need big red crystals.

Enhancement Interface
Go to your bag to open up the enhancement interface:
This then brings up the enhancement interface. We will refer to each tab by numbers for what they do.
Enhancement Stones
You enhance your gear by consuming enhancement stones.
Enhancement stones can be obtained by dissembling gears that are dropped in the mainquests or dungeons or they can be obtained from other quests.
Enhancement has 100% success rate in this game, unlike other MMO games with some failure rate.
Equipment bought from the NPC shop cannot be disassembled!
To salvage/disassemble gear into enhancement stones, open your inventory (shortcut key = "B"), click on the sand pile icon, then select the gear that you wish to disassemble.
Tips: this trick is useful for saving space if you are running a dungeon and have too many pieces of gear that you don't want. Enhancement stones from gear sell to NPCs for 1 copper each.

Enhancing Gear (1st Tab)
Basic gear enhancement increases your external defense and HP.
Make sure you are on the 1st tab of the top row menu.
Right-click on the equipment and the salvaged material on the left panel to make the selection.
Only one group of enhancement stone can be consumed at a time. (Use the scissors icon to change the number of stones you want to use).
Then click "Confirm" to make the enhancement.
There is a level cap limit to your enhancement for each gear. However, the level cap will increase as you encounter new and stronger gears throughout the game.
There are different levels of salvaged materials ("一" = Lv1 salvaged materials, "二" = Lv2 salvaged materials "三" = Lv3 salvaged materials, etc.).
Disassembling higher level equipment will produce higher level salvaged materials.
Low level salvaged materials can be used for low level enhancement but can't be used for high level enhancements.
But high level salvaged materials can be used for both low level and high level enhancement.

Inheriting Stats (3rd Tab)
Inheritance only applies to PvP gears. PvE gears do not use the inheritance system.
What is inheritance in this game?
- Inheritance is transferring and adding enhancements from your old gear to your new gear. It's a process of advancement and improvement, NOT revising or randomizing stats.
- The old gear will automatically be DELETED after the inheritance.
- Inheritance has 100% success rate in this game, unlike other mmo games that contain some failure rate.
What can you inherit?
- enhancement level (from 1st tab upgrades)
- inheritance level (from 2nd tab upgrades)
- shiny gear level (from 5th tab)
- stat liners
Before jumping into inheriting, make sure to UNEQUIP your gear so it shows up in your inventory, then open the enhancement interface:
Then:
- Make sure you are on the 3rd tab of the top row menu.
- Right-click on the equipments on the left panel to make the selection. Make sure you NEW gear is on the first box, your old gear is on the second box.
- In the left column, top box gives all the gear you have. Pick a gear from that list, and the bottom box will display any gear you can inherit from.
After that your old gear will be destroyed. Don't forget to equip your new gear from your inventory.
