Setting up WeGame VPN

As a lot of people prefer to use the free Wegame VPN but are confused about how to set this up, I made this quick guide.
PLEASE START WEGAME NOT MOONLIGHT BLADE VIA WEGAME. PLEASE BE SURE YOUR GAME IS OFF



1. Locate the 3 lines on the top right hand of your wegame client. It should pop up a menu like the left of this image. Click the boxed out button
2. A new window should pop up. Note the 3 buttons you can select:

Turn off VPN - Don't use VPN. This is mostly when you use an external VPN
Always enable VPN - VPN will always be enabled, even if the ping of the VPN is larger than your ping without VPN.
Smart settings - Only use VPN when the ping is better.

3. To set this up easily, select the 2nd button in step 2, and then select the boxed out choice (auto detect) in the dropdown menu. Wegame should then choose a VPN server for you.



Upon clicking the 2nd or 3rd choice, another button should appear, stating the name of the VPN connection.

Usually this isn't an issue, however if you need to select a server with lesser packet loss (for pvp purposes) or want to connect to an alternative point, click that button.

It should bring out another menu.

If you are playing on the same server as the guild, you will need to select the first option on the left sidebar. (1.)

You can then select any of the buttons to select a server (2.)

Checking the checkbox above 2. will remember your last connection point choice
(That is, it will always select this choice when you use the VPN, even if there are better or worse connection points)

Late reply but I are you doing this through the MBO launcher or the WeGame launcher? Cause there's a message up top saying that you need it to activate it through the WeGame icon(?). Note that the ping booster is not built into the default MBO launcher (even though they look similar, they are not the same).

Hi, im new to this game and well its was heck of a process to get it done!! lol but i enjoyed the adventure to it.. my question is this..
1) i followed every step alright including the important notice for english players. problem is i can't seems to get to the 603 that is selected like the pic posted by cocoro, instead i get the 314 , will i still be able to play with english players while using the stated 314? Thanks And sorry if i posted this question on the wrong post.

p/s i did manage to speak to a player that spoke english but i was like confused cos strangely enough i had a multiple ppl talking chinese with me which i can't understand (not sure what they say but i do know there were laughing at me for some odd reason lolz. well i can read only those basic chinese not all but just aybe 0.01% of it ..had to log out and start reading up will all the materials and info in this forum.

Hi deathsoul,

Yes, you will be able to play with the English community so long as you choose the correct subserver listed on most of our guides (main server 青龙乱舞 -> subserver 情人箭). The number you are referring to (603 and 314) are for the VPN servers, which are numbered based on their locations (603 is the Singapore connection, while 314 is the Hong Kong one). The VPN server is assigned based on which ever one gives the best connection between you and the game server.

P.S. don't sweat it too much, for the most part CN players are just curious, we are a somewhat rare bunch of players XD
I recommend keeping some translator tools on you if you want to communicate regularly, it's also a good way to pick up more Chinese
if they start harrassing though, best to disengage (and I can try to post assassination requests for revenge lol)

hi, im new here. i hav installed the game, but i cant' get into it. pressed start game and nothing happen, tried 64bit and 32 also same..
after sometimes giv me error like connection error.

The most common errors for issues launching are from not setting the system locale to Simplified, China, or from not adding the game to firewall exceptions. Hopefully those are one of the solutions. Could you also screenshot the error in case there are some other details?

Also, please feel free to post on our discord too, we have a lot more people there and hopefully someone knows the answer there XD

Hey guys.

Its november 2019 and I wonder if there are people still playing?

1. I have a QQ account, verified and stuff, I could log in into WeGame
2. I followed the above instructions to set the VPN.
3. I added WeGame as a firewall exception.
4. I set my region as Simplified, China.
5. I'm not in China, I'm in southeast asia

I still could not launch the game. The WeGame launcher would show that its launching the game, and nothing shows up. About 10 minutes later I get a popup window saying that there's some internet error.

What else am I not doing to launch the game?

Would recommend checking out the discord and seeing if there's anyone that can help you there. Not sure how active it is there, but as you can probably tell the forums are pretty dead.

Personally haven't been playing since April this year; from my experience you've done everything correctly tho. Would post a screenshot of the error you're getting to the discord and see from there.
